Symbolism of the Rogers Masonic Lodge Pin

The area that became the city of Rogers began to be settled around 1830. For many years subsistence farming was the economy of the area and the population remained low. Then in 1880 the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad (Frisco) decided to run a rail line through the east side of Benton County and Rogers was chosen as a stop on that line. On May 10, 1881 600 residents of what would become Rogers welcomed the first Frisco train to town and the city of Rogers, Arkansas was born. The town was named after Captain Charles Warrington Rogers, the railroad executive who chose Rogers for a stop on the Frisco line. Rogers Masonic Lodge #460 was chartered by the Grand Lodge of Arkansas on November 23, 1887.

Rogers Lodge #460 has always been proud to be a part of the city of Rogers and so we have incorporated the history of Rogers as a railroad town by the gold locomotive prominently displayed on our Lodge pin. The Square and Compass opposite the locomotive displays our membership in the great fraternity of Freemasonry.
